The first episode of my radio show with focus put on music in Japan was broadcasted tonight on Radio AF 99,1MhZ at 22hrs00 CET. Some small technical mishaps, but all in all quite good for a premiere.
For now, the available sound file's quality is rather lousy, yet listenable. I am working on making a place for the better ones. Until then, you can listen to the show by using this link.
I think the music speaks for itself, but MeroMero's human talking is almost exclusively in Swedish. The exception is the Non Stop To Tokyo-part where I talk to Patrick Benny about what's happening in Tokyo.
If you have any questions, want the playlist, etc, give me a note at petersen DOT jens AT gmail DOT com.
Finishing up my thesis at the university has made the updates here virtually disappear, as you surely have noticed. I also have some other projects going on, which might keep it this way.
Today I debut with a text on the latest compilation from the Japanese label Contemode at digfi, from which I got a lot of great recommendations, mainly on dance music, last year.
I can also be heard on Swedish P3, in the very entertaining international show Transit, tonight some time between 6pm and 8pm. I am talking a little about music in Japan and Tommy February6. You can listen to Transit live by clicking "WEBBRADIO" here and during the upcoming week here.
Finally, I will also be relaunching my radio show with focus on music in Japan on Radio AF, the college radio in Lund. The show, called Mero Mero, will be aired every other Wednesday 10pm-11pm, starting January 26 or February 2.
I'll keep you updated here about these things, which unfortunately mostly will be conducted only in Swedish.

The Embassy are finally back on the web!
And the old Futile Crimes-album is now only 80SEK. Including postage.
A new record to be out this year perhaps?
Until then, visit the beautiful www.theembassy.info!
...to everyone! I spent a great night at Mondo in Stockholm where the Gothenburg-based label Service threw one helluva party including a joyful Jens Lekman on stage, a cheerful Erland Oye in the dj-booth making a karaoke performance of I'd Rather Dance With You and djs spinning tons of great tunes made for dancing. I was especially impressed by how they made Johnny Boy's shoe anthem blend very smoothly into Warren G's 90's anthem Regulate. Cheers!
I've been told that the site's comments-function doesn't work (thanks Patrick!), so I have looked into it and it seems like the domain where I have my blog has experienced some severe spamming, causing Sasaki, who is running it, to only accept comments written in the Japanese alphabet hiragana. So for now, you cannot comment if you don't know Japanese. If you in the meantime want to reach me in a different language click here.
And yeah, if you happen to know any good program/script against spam in blogs, please let me know!
