The boys from Normandie have launched their by far best song to date, and the new album is out on February 23. In Japan that is.

That is the crazy line-up Lund's Mejeriet has come up with. At the same stage, same evening, and no other bands! March 15 2005 is the date, and it's only 150SEK!
You can now listen to MeroMero in decent sound quality!
The files are only available for streaming, but if you wish to get downloadables, send me a note at petersen DOT jens AT gmail DOT com and we'll sort that out.

It's as usual when a hype is born; different sources, different information. 2005's to be #1 r'n'b hit, 1 Thing, won't be included on Amerie's forthcoming album Touch. At least not in the US, only in Europe "because they get all the good stuff over there" according to some American. At the same time it's on heavy rotation on some radio stations over in the States, you can buy it from your regular online music stores as an mp3, and there's apparently parts of a video to be seen at her homepage. Now I even hear that the popsters at The Cricket are going bananas over it. Well, they, and everyone else, should. It's the most fantastic r'n'b tune for years, and it's exactly what a genre on the verge of losing all its vitality needs. 1 Thing's for sure, whenever Sony decides to release this as a CD-single it will make it anthem-big!
The end of January + the beginning of February have been spent playing Aliz・, Alan Braxe and Michel Le Grand at digfi:mix, watching a wonderful non-stop-hit-set by the great Mont Ventoux at the same place, glancing at Michael Stipe's lyric monitor at the Globe, listening to the highly anticipated Human After All + LCD Soundsystem, Lo-Fi-Fnk, Kitsune X, New Order, Armand Van Helden, Diplo, Sambassadeur, Shaznay Lewis, Uniting Nations, The Radio Dept., I&Fused, Collage and Slam. I have also been reading Ryu Murakami's Almost Transparent Blue plus enjoying sushi by Kimama nearby Odenplan, Dry Martinis by &bar at M・tenstorget, and semlor by Ramklints at the very same town square down here in Lund. Plus discovering the hilarious Swedish TV-show High Chaparall where two Swedish hooligans spend a couple of days with worn-out american celebrities, and the BBC produced Cambridge Spies, about English homosexual communists who work as spies for the Russians in the end of the 30's. Great TV!
Right now my favourite song is : The Benny Benassi remix of Aliz・'s J'ai Pas Vingt Ans!
Show number two was broadcasted on Wednesday February 9.
For some Panikaraqs/Yuka Honda, Capsule and an exclusive recording of Flippers Guitar playing live as a duo (Keigo Oyamada and Kenji Ozawa) in December 1989 click here. Ah, the sound quality is still terrible. Big apologies! Soon at a webpage close to you high quality(oh well, 96kbps instead of 16kbps) files WILL be available.
