MeroMero - 20050518 - Rallye & Panache
A feature on the brilliant Rallye Label, including interviews with the main man Fuminori Chikakoshi, and his new Swedish signing Panache.
So, it's just over a year ago from nishiwaseda to everywhere debuted on the net. I suppose its appropriate name at the moment would be from lund to everywhere, but it just doesn't sound very catchy now does it? However, back in May 2004 the proper and lasting name was justified, as I lived in Nishi-Waseda, Tokyo.
It's also just over a year ago Sweden's finest pop orchestra, The Embassy, released their latest recording, Wearing Our Pop Art Hearts On Our Sleeves, and as that release and the launch of this blog occured on the very same day, the aim was to make this some kind of tribute to it all.
Wearing Our Pop Art Hearts On Our Sleeves proved to be one of the best Swedish EP's ever.
From nishiwaseda to everywhere proved to be damn fun.
The Embassy are currently in the studio working on their new ep&album.
Today though, they take a break to play a gig at Bodoni in Malmoe.
I am currently planning my way back to Tokyo.
Tonight though, I dance to The Embassy with indulgence.
It's May 12, the sun is shining on us.

Have you been wondering what music Tommy February6 grew up to?
The most probable answer must be Rebecca's MOON from 1988.
If I'm gonna give all my love to one person, thing or action right now, it will easily be dedicated to this song. Pure May Love!
Rebecca's singer Nokko tried to make it big in the UK in the beginning of the 90's, but even though she did it with help from Towa Tei, she never had any luck.
